WKLS FM (96 Rock, 96.1) is an Atlanta FM radio station that plays classic rock.
The station has been rock since coming on the air in 1974. In 1985, the station switched to classic rock, then to rock in general in 1987, and finally back to classic rock in 2004 after Z-93 (WZGC) became Dave FM. In 2004, long-time morning show hosts the Regular Guys (Larry Wachs and Eric Von Haessler) were fired for unintentionally airing explicit sexual language during a car commercial.
This station is broadcasting in IBOC digital radio, using the HD Radio system from iBiquity.
