Corozal, Puerto Rico

Corozal is a municipality of Puerto Rico. It was founded in 1795 as La Cuna del Volibol, and officially became a town in 1804. It takes its name from the "palma de corozo" (Acrocomia media). Its population (2000) is 36,867.

The most known "Barrios" are Cibuco, Palmarejo, Palos Blanco, Palmarito, La Aldea, Urbanisaciòn Sylvia en Cibuco ...

The Public High School's name is: Emilio R. Delgado.
