This is a list of the current and former capitals of subnational entities of China. Due to the long history of China, this chart will only cover capitals after the completion of the Mongol conquest of China, in 1279.
The place and date of the various locations for the national capital are also given.

This covers all capitals of dynasties, governments, regimes, etc., regardless of the legitimacy or illegitimacy aocorded to them by historians.
