Parachutes is the first album by British rock band Coldplay, first released in July 2000. It quickly shot to #1 in the UK and stayed in the top 10 for 33 weeks. The album spawned four singles: "Shiver", "Yellow", "Trouble" and "Don't Panic" (the latter however was not released in the UK). In the United States, the album placed a modest #51.
