Robotnik

Robotnik is the generic Polish word for a worker. As such, it was used as a title by a number of leftist magazines throughout 19th and 20th centuries:
- Robotnik (1890-1899) was an organ of Social-Democratic Party of Galicia, published in Lwów
- Robotnik (1894-1939) was an organ of Pilsudski's Polish Socialist Party
- Robotnik Polski (1940-1950) was also the title of two newspapers published for the Polish workers in France and the United Kingdom.
- Robotnik (1942-1945) was the title of a biweekly and then weekly underground magazine of the Socialist Party. It was published in Warsaw.
- Robotnik (1943-1944) was also the title of a notable underground newspaper (published several times a week) by the PPS-WRN party. During the Warsaw Uprising it was issued as a daily newspaper.
- Robotnik (1944) was also a short-lived underground newspaper, organ of one of the factions of the communists led by Adam Próchnik and Edward Osóbka-Morawski.
- Robotnik (since 1944) was also the name of the organ of the Polish Workers Party, first published in Lublin, then in Lwów. In 1948 it was moved to Warsaw and renamed to Trybuna Ludu, which was the main organ of the Polish United Workers Party. Since 1990 the newspaper is using the title of Trybuna.
- Robotnik (since 1950) is the name of emigree newspaper published in London; it was formed by Adam Ciołkosz as a merger of two previously-existing Robotnik Polski newspapers.
- Robotnik (1977-1981) was also the title of an underground newspaper led by the Komitet Obrony Robotników movement. Led by Jan Lityński, the Robotnik reached the peak in 1980, when its issue reached roughly 60.000 copies.
- Robotnik (1983-1990) was also the title of another underground newspaper, published during the martial law in Poland by the left wing of the Solidarity movement and then by the reborn Polish Socialist Party.
