I've tried to make some sense of the etymology, which was originally a dense paragraph of symbols and abbreviations. I'm no expert, however, so anyone who knows these things should perhaps check it and make it more legible as it's still largely gobblygook (what's the etymology of *that*, I wonder?). charlieF 10:03 Mar 27, 2003 (UTC)
