The University of Michigan-Dearborn, located in Dearborn, Michigan, is part of the University of Michigan system. It was established in 1959 after a gift of 196 acres (0.79 km²) from the Ford Motor Company. On the campus there are approximately 70 acres of nature preserve. The campus also houses the Henry Ford Estate.
The school serves as a "commuter" school to the metropolitan Detroit area and does not have any student housing. It offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Education, and Management.
