West Midlands
From Academic Kids
The West Midlands in its broad sense, refers to western area of The Midlands (central England). More specifically, the name is also used for other entities, including:
- The metropolitan county of the West Midlands, containing the conurbation at the heart of the region, centred on the cities of Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Coventry.
- The official government West Midlands Region.
- The West Midlands constituency of the European Parliament.
- The area covered by the West Midland Bird Club.
