Westlake Corner is a census-designated place and community located in Franklin County, Virginia. As of the 2000 census, the area had a total population of 899.
Geography
Westlake Corner is located at 37°7'59" North, 79°40'44" West (37.133117, -79.678794)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 29.7 km² (11.5 mi²). 26.1 km² (10.1 mi²) of it is land and 3.6 km² (1.4 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 12.20% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 899 people, 389 households, and 322 families residing in the community of Westlake. The population density is 34.4/km² (89.2/mi²). There are 515 housing units at an average density of 19.7/km² (51.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the community is 96.44% White, 2.56% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.33% Asian, 0.11% Pacific Islander, 0.11% from other races, and 0.44% from two or more races. 0.78% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
