Wheels Of Zeus

Wheels of Zeus (WoZ) is a company founded in 2001 by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. WoZ makes wireless hardware for keeping track of the physical location of enabled objects. The licensible technology consists of three components:
- Smart Tag The tag contains GPS and can be attached to various objects, such as a brief case or pet. "Acceptable areas" can be preprogrammed for the tag to signal the Tag Detector when it wonders outside of this area.
- Tag Detector This is a handheld device that can monitor your personal collection of Smart Tags, and provide a distance and direction to them when they are lost. It also communicates with the wOz Service when a Smart Tag is lost.
- wOz Service The network based service can provide the locations of the various Smart Tags, as well as send an eMail or SMS notification when the Smart Tag wanders outside of its "acceptable area".
