Whirlwind Improv Theatre Troupe is an improvisational theatre troupe based out of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. This troupe performs short form as well as long form styles of improvisational theatre. The founder of Whirlwind Improv Theatre Troupe, Julian Polzin also resides in Victoria, B.C. Canada. The troupe hosts a series of workshops each year in an event called "Camp Improv". This event is to enhance the skills of the improvisors attending. This troupe also performs traditional and non-traditional forms of Murder Mysteries. Originally established in April 2000, Whirlwind Improv Theatre Troupe is still active today. As of June 6th 2005 a second ressurection of new improvisational talent has united under the name of Whirlwind Improv Theatre Troupe. This new group is dedicated to upholding improvisational events and exploring both short form and long form styles of improv. The addition of Jonathan Smallwood, who brings his business savy ideas to Whirlwind Improv Theatre Troupe is a great asset indeed. Under the direction of Artistic Director and Founder Julian Polzin and the guidance of Producer Jonathan Smallwood this troupe is looking forward to the improv challenges ahead.
