Wrecked Mob from Lucerne, Switzerland were the first Swiss-German Rap Crew on a major recording label (Sony/Columbia Records). They are also part of the legendary Graffiti Crew Stick Up Kids (www.stickupkids.de), together with worldwide aclaimed artists such as BATES, DAIM, or CANTWO. Their first album 'Mission Possible' was released in 1998, and was then regarded as the most advanced Dialect-Rap album. Consisting of 7 members (2 DJ's 5 MC's), this was the group that started the whole Swiss-Dialect Rap fever in Switzerland. The single 'Honig' even made it into the radio-charts. In 2000, the Mob followed with the second long-player 'Läbenslauf' which contained the single 'Easy' and was also highly regarded, although, the Mob shrank down to 1 DJ and 3 MC's.
In the following year, band member Spooman released his first solo album 'Brennsprit'. Although it was the first solo effort on a major label by a rapper in Switzerland, it was not highly acclaimed. Spooman's lack of flow and creative skills still need developing. Only one year later, his second solo album flopped. 'Casino' went under and didn't receive very positive reviews.
Zora, the first lady of Swiss rap and only female MC in the Mob, finally released her long-awaited solo effort 'Z-A' in the fall of 2002. 'Z-A' is an excellent album. It is claimed as groundbreaking, setting new standards. With her long list of producers, such as TROPF, or SEPALOT from Germany, and DJ SMASH of Blue Note Records, she is also bound to gain international attention, especially in Germany. Although she is not German, she raps in German, and her album, although only available on the internet (www.zora-online.com) in Germany, is claimed to be the best ever released Female Rap Album in Germany.
