Blackhawk-Camino Tassajara is an unincorporated area located in Contra Costa County, California, near the town of Danville. It consists of the Blackhawk country club area and the surrounding Camino Tassajara area.

As of the 2000 census, the census-designated place had a total population of 10,048.

Blackhawk-Camino Tassajara is located at 37°48'36" North, 121°54'50" West (37.810003, -121.913992)Template:GR.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the area has a total area of 24.2 km² (9.3 mi²). 24.1 km² (9.3 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.21% water.

Demographics

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 10,048 people, 3,326 households, and 3,010 families residing in the area. The population density is 416.7/km² (1,078.9/mi²). There are 3,381 housing units at an average density of 140.2/km² (363.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the area is 77.10% White, 2.31% Black or African American, 0.18% Native American, 16.78% Asian, 0.14% Pacific Islander, 0.75% from other races, and 2.75% from two or more races. 3.89% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 3,326 households out of which 46.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 84.2% are married couples living together, 4.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 9.5% are non-families. 6.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 1.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.01 and the average family size is 3.16.

In the area the population is spread out with 29.0% under the age of 18, 4.8% from 18 to 24, 24.0% from 25 to 44, 35.8% from 45 to 64, and 6.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 41 years. For every 100 females there are 97.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 96.1 males.

The median income for a household in the area is $154,598, and the median income for a family is $155,904. Males have a median income of over $100,000 versus $58,378 for females. The per capita income for the area is $66,972. 0.9% of the population and 0.2% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 0.2% of those under the age of 18 and 0.6% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
