The station is in the residential area of Landover, Maryland at Pennsy Drive near Landover Road. It is primary a commuter station, with parking for over 1800 cars, but it also served the now-demolished US Airways Arena, formerly the Capital Center and former home of the Washington Bullets and Washington Capitals. Service began on November 20, 1978.
