List of gags in the Naked Gun series

The Naked Gun series that featured Leslie Nielsen had many gags in the three movies. There are many noticeable gags throughout the series (mostly The Smell of Fear), including...

  • A woman with 4 sets of knees.
  • A Tyrannosaurus rex in one of the police offices.
  • In the first love scene between Drebin and Jane, they speak briefly about using protection, and then start to make love wearing giant full-body condoms.
  • Drebin, out of control in a police tank, crashes through a zoo wall, freeing all of the animals, which promptly run amok through Washington, D.C.
  • When told "Because of you, this city is being overrun by baboons," Drebin responds with "Well...isn't that the fault of the voters?"
  • After the movie's climax, the villian lands safely on the ground after being saved after a fall from a very tall building, only to be mauled by an escaped zoo lion.
  • When Drebin finally locates and attacks a government consultant imposter in a wheelchair, Chicago Bears players appalled at "the guy beating up a man in a wheelchair," proceed to beat Drebin.
  • In a conversation on a car alarm that shoots a metal car boot to a man's crotch and sticks (another gag), the people refer to cities where the alarm was made.
  • An undercover Frank and a mobster tunnel out of jail, only to surface in another "dangerous" environment: the grounds of a LA high-school. Each student is equipped with an assortment of heavy weapons, and the two are forced to dodge bullets, hand-grenades, etc.
  • A reference to metal history in which the villain shows many types, including aluminum.
  • When Frank struggles to put on pants for a wetsuit, they fall like a launched rubber band to the water, ten of them.
  • When Frank surfaces, he's in a waste removal bay with rats.
  • Trying to escape, Frank accidentally hits a man in the wheelchair with oil, billard balls, and an anvil.
  • Through the credits of all three movies, added lines like "There is a Pontiac in the parking lot" are frequent.
  • When investigating the crime scene of a man who died by drowning, a chalk outline of the body is visible on the water.

Nielsen included these types of gags in his next movie, Wrongfully Accused, a parody of The Fugitive.
