Michael Bishop

Michael Bishop (born November 12 1945) is an American science-fiction and fantasy writer. He also writes, in collaboration with Paul Di Filippo as Philip Lawson.

Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Bishop received a bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia in 1967 before going on to complete a master's degree in English.

His first published work was the short story "Piņon Fall" in 1970. He won Nebula awards in 1989, 1990 and 1991 and has been nominated for numerous Hugo awards.
