Template:Superherobox Orion is a fictional character, a superhero of the New Gods in the "Jack Kirby's Fourth World" meta-series in the DC Comics universe.
His natural father was Darkseid, while his adopted father was Highfather of the New Gods. He became a hero dedicated to the ideals of New Genesis despite his heritage, albeit a violence-prone and troubled one. To help him, he was equipped with a armed flying frame that travel through space at high speed. Furthermore, he was granted a mother box that can calm his temper and temporarily change his appearance to something more handsome than his parentage normally allows.
He eventually joined the JLA.

Orion appeared in several Superman and Justice League animated episodes. He was voiced by Ron Perlman. In the Superman episode, Orion joins Superman in fighting Darkseid. A two-part episode dedicated to Jack Kirby, was called Apokolips Now where Darkseid plans to invade Earth. The event is thwarted by Orion reminding Darkseid of the treaty between the two worlds, New Genesis, and Apokolips. In later Justice League, called Twilight of the Gods episodes Orion falls to Darkseid and threatens to destroy the Universe by betraying Brainiac in finding the Anti-Life Matter Equation in his technology.
