Richard Lewis (born 1969) is the leader of Destiny New Zealand, a small Christian political party in New Zealand.
Lewis was born in Auckland, New Zealand. At the age of twenty-two, he joined the New Zealand Police. He served as a police officer for eleven years. In 2001, he became the manager of Destiny Social Services, a branch of the Auckland-based Destiny Church. When the church established its own political party, Lewis became its leader.
Since the establishment of the party, Lewis has spoken about the "government we have in place today making immoral decisions", and has condemned the legalization of prostitution in New Zealand that had taken place shortly beforehand. Lewis has also attacked other parties based around Christian views, saying that Destiny New Zealand will be the only "pure Christian party".
In the 2005 election, Lewis will stand as his party's candidate for the Manukau East electorate.
