Brothers and Sisters is a 1929 novel by Ivy Compton-Burnett.
Brothers & Sisters Birmingham, England was a music event which took place in the early 1990s, in the Coast to Coast club off Broad Street. It featured Hip Hop, Acid Jazz and Funk every Saturday.
The event developed out of the Birmingham Hip Hop scene.
DJs and bands from Mowax, Acidjazz Records and Talkinloud records were supported by local residents Simon 'Fathead' and 'Tricsta.
The night was the first of its kind in the Midlands.
A regular feature was a live guitarist and percussionist who would play over the recorded music.
Simon 'Fathead' later went on to develop The Medicine Bar in Birmingham and 'Triksta' continues to demonstarte his Hip Hop skills at Stump Juice in Wolverhampton.
Brothers and Sisters is also an album by the Allman Brothers Band.
