Charles Quinton Murphy (born July 12, 1959 in New York City) is the brother of comedian, Eddie Murphy. He is best known as a writer/actor for the American television show, Chappelle's Show.

Without a doubt, Murphy's most famous contribution to the show is his narrating, acting in, and (presumably) writing of the "Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories" sketches (spoofing the eponymous E! Entertainment Television show). In these, Murphy recounts his (allegedly true) misadventures as part of his brother's entourage, including his encounters with various celebrities -- most importantly Rick James and Prince.

These sketches contain many enormously popular lines, including:

"I'm Rick James, bitch!", spoken numerous times by Dave Chappelle playing the character of Rick James.

"I'm one of the baddest motherfuckers of all time, one of the best singers and one of the best looking motherfuckers you've ever seen. Hold my drink, bitch.", spoken by Chappelle as James, in a moment of self-aggrandizement.

"I'm sorry, Charlie Murphy, it was an accident. I was having too much fun. I offer you a truce. The stickiest of the icky. You want to smoke with the old boy Rick James?", spoken by Chappelle as James, to try to make peace with Murphy after a fight.

"Cocaine is a hell of a drug.", spoken by the real-life Rick James.

"Fuck yo couch, nigga!", spoken by Chappelle as James while intentionally destroying Murphy's brother's newly purchased suede couch with his muddy boots.

"They shoulda never gave you niggas money!", spoken by Chappelle as James after receiving a beating from the Murphy brothers as a result of his antics.

"He's a habitual line-stepper.", spoken by Murphy in describing Rick James' out-of-control behavior.

"What did the five fingers say to the face? SLAP!", spoken by Chappelle as James, and followed by a slap to Murphy's face.

"You don't slap a man. Ok. I mean, even when slapping was fashionable, ya know, they did it in Paris, some guy would come up: "I challenge you to a duel." They would have a gunfight after that -- somebody had to go!", spoken by Murphy after receiving the above slap.

"I wish I had more hands... so I could give those titties four thumbs down.", spoken by Chappelle as James, when faced by what he evaluated to be less than ideal examples of the female anatomy.

"Game... blouses.", spoken by Chappelle as Prince following the victory of his epicene-costumed squad over Murphy and his more normally dressed friends in a game of basketball.

"Computer blue.", spoken by Chappelle as Prince: the name of a play he was calling for his basketball team to execute.

"I wish I could say the same for you and your crew of flunkies. You guys want some grapes?... Bitches.", spoken by Chappelle as Prince, in response to Murphy's saying that Prince's team had played well.

"I don't know what he was angry about. I mean, you know where you got that shirt. And it damn sure wasn't the men's department!", spoken by Murphy in reference to Prince's attire.

"Challenge him, i-ight!? Make sure your people is there to witness it, cuz you just might get embarrassed.", spoken by Murphy to the viewer, warning of Prince's basketball prowess.

He also played club owner Gusto in the film CB4, and lent his voice to a character in the video game, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
