Fred A. Taylor

Frederick Antwon Taylor (born January 27, 1976 in Pahokee, Florida) is a star running back for the Jacksonville Jaguars. After an outstanding career at the University of Florida, he was a first round draft pick of the Jaguars in 1998. He developed into one of the NFL’s top backs in his rookie season, rushing for 1223 yards and scoring 17 touchdowns. Injuries plagued him throughout the early part of his career, but he recovered and played the entire 2002 and 2003 seasons, rushing for over 1300 yards each year. He is generally considered to be one of the league's elite runners.
Taylor is the only 1,000-yard rusher in Jaguars history (1998, 2000, 2002, and 2003). He set 29 team records in 1998, set an NFL postseason record in 1999, and shattered most Jaguars rushing records by 2000. Taylor now holds over 30 team records, as well as the longest run in NFL postseason history (90 yards). Template:Amfootbio-stub
