Gogeta

Gogeta is a fictional character in the Animes Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. He is the Fusion of the two Saiyans, Goku and Vegeta.

In this fusion, Goku is the dominant influence. Gogeta is the second most powerful character behind Vegetto. Gogeta is usually Super Saiyan 2 directly after Fusion. Gogeta is portrayed as a very confident and focused. Gogeta and Vegetto share second strongest position because they cannot co-exist simultaneously.

Without further transformation (i.e. while not a Super Saiyan), Gogeta's power level is never as strong as Vegetto's because the Fusion Dance technique used to form him is inferior to the Elder Kai's Potara fusion earrings. In Dragon Ball GT, Goku and Vegetta fuse while in Super Saiyan 4 transform, which makes Gogeta a very formidable opponent. The downfall to this fusion is that Gogeta can only exist for half an hour or less before he splits back into Goku and Vegeta. Gogeta first appears a Dragonball Z movie where he fights Janemba. He later appears in one of the last episodes of Dragonball GT, and fights against Omega Shenron. It is unclear whether or not Gogeta has access to all of Goku/Kakarotto and Vegeta's attacks like Vegetto. Most fans do not think so since the fusion dance is inferior to the potara earing fusion.

TECHNIQUES

Kamehameha Wave: This is Gogeta's special attack because Goku is the dominent personality. The user cups their hands behind their back on one side of his body, leaving the hands open a bit. The user charges up their energy while saying the words "ka...me...ha...me". He then throws his hands forward and upon shouting "ha!" releases a fairly large, very powerful, focussed beam of energy. The beam is blue in color. Though he is able to, Gogeta never uses this technique.

Big Bang Attack: This is an attack that Gogeta got from Vegeta. He extends his arm straight out in front of him, turns his hand up at a 90 degree angle and opens his palm and starts charging up. When the blast is fully charged the user yells out "big bang attack" and releases a sort of, comet-like energy projectile that creates an enormous explosion on contact. This attack can be either blue or yellow in color. Once again, Gogeta never actually uses this attack.

Soul Punisher: In the Budokai games this technique is called soul punisher but is called Rainbow Sparkling Blast by most fans. This is the technique that Gogeta used to kill Janemba. When executing this technique Gogeta races first towards his target at incredible speed (as seen in Budokai 3 and Movie 12) en delivers a blur of punches on the chest of the target. Then Gogeta quickly appears behind his target, kicking two times with his knee in the neck, then he makes a vertical spin, using his foot to deliver an uppercut. Then Gogeta puts one hand in the air and forms a baseball sized rainbow colored energy ball. Gogeta then opens his hand wider and the ball bursts into a small mass of bright, shining white, sparkling energy. Gogeta closes his hand and grabs the energy and spins around throwing a sparkling white energy blast like a pitcher would in baseball. The blast peirces the opponent, enters their body and explodes in a bright flash of light incinerated the target. Gogeta used this technique to vaporize Janemba, and restoring the teenager possessed by the evil spirits back to normal.

Big Bang Kamehameha: This is Gogeta's most powerful technique. This is a combination between the kamehameha wave and the big bang attack. Gogeta puts both of his hands in front of him, palms open, hands turned up at a 90 degree angle and fuses together the energy of the kamehameha wave and the big bang attack into a blue energy ball about the size of Gogeta. The ball forms strange energy ripples around it. Gogeta then yells out "big bang kamehameha!" and the ball of energy fires out a blue, flashing, energy wave that grows larger the farther out it goes, like a beam of light from a flashlight. Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta uses this technique on Omega Shenron to incinerate him. Although Omega Shenron regenerates the dragonballs are blown out of him and he is seriously injured. Unfortunately, Gogeta de-fuses as he is about to deliver the finishing blow. This attack is blue in color and is incredibly powerful.
