Episode 4 of season 2, "Inca Mummy Girl" begins with a field trip for the students of Sunnydale High to a museum exhibiting a mummified Inca girl. One of the more unethical students decides to stay behind afterwards, hiding out in the museum to steal the artifact that the mummy girl has in her grip; unbeknownst to the student, the artifact is also the reason that the mummy girl remains in the world of the dead. When the overzealous student accidentally breaks the artifact, the mummy girl springs to life and sucks his life away. After hearing Buffy, Willow and Xander talk about the foreign exchange student that will be staying with Buffy, the mummy girl slithers over to the Sunnydale Bus Depot and takes the identity of the exchange student.

Xander falls head over heels for the Latin beauty and takes her to the dance, with Willow's approval, but she starts to shrivel again and needs another life to suck up. As Xander and the mummy girl are dancing, she becomes aware that she is drying up and runs off. When Xander tracks her down, she kisses him a little too long and Xander passes out. Right about that time, Buffy and Giles realize who she really is; Giles goes to the museum to put the artifact back together and Buffy races to the dance to get Xander and Willow. Xander catches his love just before she sucks Willow up and saves the day. The Inca mummy girl then shrinks back up and is good as old except for two less arms.Template:Buffyverse-stub
