William Eldridge Odom

William Eldridge Odom (born 1932) was a U.S. Army officer.
From 2 November 1981 to 12 May 1985, Odom, then a Lieutenant General, served as the Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Headquarters, Department of the Army. From 1985 to 1988, he served as the director of the National Security Agency. Later he was a professor at Yale University.
General Odom is a member of the Military Intelligence Hall of Fame.
